A Sister Is A Forever Friend

Do you have a sister? I don’t.. at least not in real life. No, I was so “blessed” as to get two brothers. Both older than me by quite a few years, so by the time I arrived I’m pretty sure they were just counting the days until I was old enough to tease.. and boy did they ever.
Now if you ask them, I’m sure they’ll tell you that it was me who teased them. Annoyed them with my little girly ways, and with how easily I got everything due to being not only the youngest, but also the only girl..

But here’s the thing, I love my brothers, and thankfully our relationships are far better today than they were back then, but all in all, I don’t believe you need to share the same bloodline to be family. Through Second Life, I’ve been able to meet people that I would call brothers and sisters even though we have no “family group” or specific titles.. it’s just friendship taken to a higher level I think and I love you all deeply ♥ you know who you are..!

Pretty much since I met Amelie through Flickr, we’ve been talking about doing a blog collaboration and yesterday was the day.. It took us a bit to find out exactly what the theme was gonna be, but I think we settled somewhere around “princess sleepover”.. As you can tell, I’m the annoying little sister who just has to photobomb the shot ^^

Thank God, It’s Sundae..

Okay.. few things to clear up before we continue.. Yes, I know it’s only Thursday and yes, I know that’s NOT a sundae ^^
However, I did have a lot of trouble deciding on the title for this blog post. So much I actually waited a day writing it. I don’t know I can’t just write the post itself and the come up with the title afterwards. *shakes head*
We may never know. And to be fair.. There IS ice cream in the picture AND today we have another day of the week. The weekend is approaching and I’ll be spending it with family.

Something I’m extremely pleased with when visiting family, is the option of stepping into the garden and enjoy the chilly breezes while still being in the comfort of somewhere familiar. Living in an apartment, I sadly spend too much time indoors during these extremely hot months, cooling myself down with a tons of ice cubes. And ice cream.. Seriously, I LOVE ice cream. call it my guilty pleasure, call it unhealthy.. You know what? Call it whatever you like. I call it freaking delicious! XD
It’s one of those things that can always cheer me up. Hmm, that’s not exactly the best way to feel better is it? Oh well.. It remains yummy.
Über yumm!

But we’ll step away from the ice cream for now, and I’ll look forward to a short weekend visit at my brother’s house, playing Monopoly and eating steaks fresh off the grill.
Doesn’t sound too bad does it now? 😉

Nothing Tastes as good as Cute Feels

Have you ever had someone ask you, “If you could travel to any point in time, where would you go?” And in that case, what would your answer be?
I can tell you mine.
There is no doubt in my mind that I’d go see an actual 50’s diner. Not the fancy remakes we see in this day and age, but to actually go back to the fifties and see if it’s as awesome as it looks.
So when I went to this round at Collabor88, I was beyond thrilled. VINTAGE EVERYWHERE!
I knew I wanted to make a blog post with some of these items, but what ended up happening, was a complete transformation of my kitchen. They say home is where the heart is.. but the kitchen is where the bacon’s at, so that’s where you’ll find me.
